Who are you?

- How did you discover tearout?
I discovered tearout through listening to excision and him playing out other people’s tracks such as svdden death, trampa and marauda.
- Was there a specific artist or track that changed everything for you?
What really put me in deep with listening and wanting to make tearout was when nimda came on the scene and his sound design and arrangements were far superior to anything I’ve ever heard and that still stands true.
- What was your first release that made you think, “I’m onto something”?
My first release that had my super hyped was my song with napo – demolisher. It was the first song that I was like woah bigger artists might pick this one up to play out.
- Is the genre evolving in a direction you like?
The thing about evolution is there is no clear cut way it should go. sometimes it’s for better and sometimes it’s for worse. I’m just glad I get to be apart of it and hopefully someday be a pioneer of some sort. But if I had to answer yes or no I’d say yes. Tearout will always be the metal of dubstep and will kinda be the black sheep but I’m glad more people have started to come around to listening.
- What has been your biggest challenge as an artist?
The biggest challenge for me personally has been Social media and navigating the “algorithm” I don’t think I’ll ever fully get use to the way it works but it is a tool to get music across to more people. I just hate that it’s become a dog and pony show. I don’t wanna compete by dancing to my own songs or making short form content to try to get people to listen to music. If I wanted to be an actor I would 😅
- What’s your biggest creative block, and how do you overcome it?
My biggest creative block is learning how things work sometimes. I’m a slow learner and there is no clear cut way to make music. Some things make sense very quickly and some don’t at all. It’s also one of my favorite things and what keeps me always evolving and challenging myself.
- If you could B2B with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
Nimda. I feel we our styles would go good together. A close second would be excision just because I’ve always wanted to make an audio visual experience and there’s no one who does it better.
- Dream collaboration?
Nimda, he’s a pioneer and a master of his craft nothing more I can say about that one 😅
- What’s your biggest goal in the next year?
My goal for the next year is just stack more music and inch my way to playing bigger festivals such as lost lands, bass canyon or forbidden kingdom as well as grow my fan base and get my name out there. I have producers like riot ten, bellatrxx, pacific rem, tripulse and fat4l playing out my tunes so I feel it’s only a matter of time.
